NORTH-SOUTH LIMBURG - A BICYCLE LIBRARY AS PART OF A PLATFORM ON MOBILITY (A Caring Platform-approach)

Within the context of the complex project North-South Limburg project (Studio NZL, 2019), which focuses on the redesign process of a very busy, polluting but also important regional connection in a rather rural part of Flanders called Limburg, we question the current mobility system as something that for years has "divided" the community and politics by rediscovering it as a shared space. This case study article will discuss how (learning together about) sharing - and platforms for sharing - has been used as a design approach to deal in a caring way with a subject that often polarises debates on spatial transformation.
